How it works

Learn it, practise it, build it, present it

Students learn a concept in a live class, practise it with guidance, and finish with a project a mentor reads and marks. Then they do it again, next lesson.

The framework

Four steps, repeated lesson after lesson

The same shape every week, whichever class your child is in \u2014 so a week missed for exams never breaks the thread.

  1. 01

    Learn

A live class teaches one concept at the student's level, led by a mentor.

  2. 02

    Practise

Students apply the concept in guided exercises, with the mentor available for every question.

  3. 03

    Build

Each lesson ends with a practical project the student completes independently in the platform.

  4. 04

    Present

Projects are reviewed by a mentor, added to the portfolio and presented at Demo Day.

Inside a lesson

How a lesson becomes a portfolio project

Each practical moves through the same seven stages, so a student always knows where they are and what happens next.

  1. Learn

A short lesson introduces one concept.

  2. Open the practical

The practical opens inside the platform with the environment already set up.

  3. Build

Students work through the project step by step with a mentor available.

  4. Test

Students run the project and fix any errors.

  5. Submit

The project is submitted as a single link.

  6. Mentor review

A mentor gives marks and written feedback. Students can revise and resubmit.

  7. Portfolio

Approved projects are added to the student's portfolio.

What they work in

The tools change as they grow

A Class 4 child and a Class 12 student should not be using the same environment.

FoundationClasses 4-5
Entirely in the browser. Nothing to install, on whatever laptop is at home.
ExplorerClasses 6-8
Browser coding, with Python gradually introduced.
BuilderClasses 9-10
VS Code, Python, GitHub, APIs and deployment.
LaunchClasses 11-12
Professional developer tooling, AI frameworks and cloud deployment.

The finish line

Demo Day

At the end of selected programs, students present their final project to mentors, parents and peers.

  1. 01Prepare
  2. 02Present
  3. 03Questions
  4. 04Feedback
  5. 05Portfolio

Older students also complete Alpha Launch: product thinking, branding, pricing and pitching, ending at Demo Day. See the programs
